This notice covers the public systemnomics website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The website describes services; it has no customer account, embedded analytics or advertising services, or AI chat. Its code does not send inputs to AI model APIs.

2. Website delivery and security

The website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Visits involve processing technically necessary connection and request data. These may include the IP address, time, requested address, browser and device information, and any transmitted referring address.

The purposes are delivery, availability, troubleshooting and website security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website. The site cannot be delivered without the necessary connection data.

Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Information on processing on behalf of customers and the EU standard contractual clauses provided for relevant transfers appears in the Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum. Cloudflare explains its own processing, subprocessors and retention criteria in its Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Processing exclusively within Europe is not guaranteed.

3. Language preferences and browser storage

When you visit the root address, your likely preferred language is determined from the language preferences available in your browser. This happens locally in the browser; the website does not store the result as a user profile.

Only when you select a language yourself in the menu does the website save its code as nomics-language in localStorage. This lets it remember your choice on later visits. The entry contains no identifier and is not sent to the server. It remains until you or your browser delete the site data. You can change the language in the menu at any time.

Storage serves the language setting you expressly selected (section 25(2)(2) TDDDG, Germany). Where personal data are involved, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the interest in preserving your requested display preference. The website code sets no analytics or advertising cookies.

4. Project brief and contact

The project brief is assembled in the open browser tab. The website does not save its inputs in a database or localStorage and does not submit them automatically. Copying places the content on your clipboard; downloading creates a text file on your device. You manage these copies. Your browser may retain form content through its own restoration features.

The email function passes a prepared draft to your email application. I receive the message only if you send it there. When you contact me, I process your sender and contact details, message and any attachments to deal with your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries, based on the interest in appropriate communication.

Email and IT service providers used for technical transmission and handling may receive the data. Providing data is voluntary; without a reachable contact address, a reply may not be possible. Contact: hello@systemnomics.com.

5. Content and external links

Images and scripts are served as the website’s own files. The site uses system fonts available on your device and does not load external font files. No external videos, maps, social media widgets or analytics scripts are embedded. References to LinkedIn or other websites are ordinary links. You access the respective provider’s service only when opening the link; its privacy notice then applies.

6. Retention

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and, where relevant, perform a contract. Statutory retention requirements or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims may require longer retention. Once the relevant purpose ends and no retention obligation remains, the data are deleted.

Retention of technical hosting data depends on delivery and security purposes, the Cloudflare features used, and legal obligations. This website sets no blanket retention period for those data. The language preference remains only in your browser as described in section 3.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR).

Right to object: You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR). Contact hello@systemnomics.com.

You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, work or the alleged infringement. The Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA) is the relevant authority for private-sector organisations in Bavaria.

8. Automated decisions

The website does not use automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects, or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
